About IgCrew

A crew that helps families move forward together.

IgCrew (Impact Goose Crew) is a Chicago-based financial education brand built to make money concepts easier to understand and apply, for families across Illinois.

In many families, money is something you don't talk about. Bills get paid or they don't, and the reasons are never explained. Children grow up and repeat the same patterns, not because they lack effort, but because nobody showed them how money works.

IgCrew was created to break that cycle. Our focus is education. When a family's needs call for protection such as life insurance, disability income or long-term care planning, we explain the options clearly and let the family decide, without pressure.

  • Learn firstEducation comes before any product.
  • Family focusedPlans begin with the people who matter.

Why the name matters

Geese fly farther together.

In a V formation, each goose takes a turn at the front, shares the work of the journey, and helps the whole flock travel farther than any one bird could alone.

That idea shapes everything IgCrew does: progress is stronger when knowledge is shared, when people support one another, and when useful lessons are passed from one generation to the next.

Break the financial curse.

Change the conversation.

Move forward.

Our mission

To break the financial curse and stigma that many communities carry from one generation to the next, by removing barriers to financial literacy through free, plain-language education.

Our vision

A future where no family stays stuck because nobody taught them how money works, and every generation starts further ahead than the last.

Our values

Six commitments we keep.

01

Plain Language

If a lesson is hard to follow, we work to make it clearer.

02

No Shame

Everyone starts somewhere, and every honest question is welcome.

03

Teach Before You Sell

Education comes first. Products are considered only when they fit a person's needs.

04

Family First

Plans begin with the people and responsibilities that matter most.

05

Integrity

Clear explanations, honest communication and no pressure.

06

Together

Learning should be welcoming to people from every community.

Questions

Common questions

Is IgCrew education really free?

Yes. Our lessons, videos, newsletter, checklists and community workshops are free. Our mission is to remove barriers to financial literacy, and cost is one of the biggest barriers.

What happens in a Family Impact Review?

It is a 30-minute educational conversation. We help you organize your questions, identify your priorities and understand the areas you may want to explore further. It is not a substitute for individual professional advice, and there is no obligation to buy anything.

Will someone try to sell me insurance?

Our rule is Teach Before You Sell. Education always comes first. Products are only discussed when they genuinely fit a person's needs and only when you want to explore them. Any product discussion is subject to licensing, suitability requirements and provider terms.

Who is behind IgCrew?

IgCrew was founded in 2026 by Franck Segbedji, a Financial Strategist. IgCrew (Impact Goose Crew) is a trade name of Wolmes LLC.

Can IgCrew run a session for our church, school or workplace?

Yes. We offer community workshops, lunch and learn sessions and co-branded resources for churches, schools, employers, community centers, small businesses and community organizations. The format and any insurance-related content are agreed in advance.

Is this financial, legal or tax advice?

No. Our content is for informational purposes only. Do your own research, and take independent financial advice from a professional before making any investment decision.

Will you text me?

Only if you check the optional SMS consent box. Message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP at any time. See our SMS Messaging Policy.
